1. If the patient drove to the doctor’s office, the escort can drive the patient home, in the patient’s personal vehicle. The escort will sign in the doctor’s office if requested and then upon arrival at the patient’s residence, the escort will then park the patient’s vehicle, help the patient out of the vehicle, and then walk the patient to their front door, and ask if she/he is ok to care for themselves and does not require additional services, before departing.
2. If the patient wants to take public transportation to see a doctor, who is located within the five boroughs, and then have the escort meet them at the doctor’s office. The Safety Escort will sign in the doctor’s office if requested and then upon leaving the doctor’s office, the escort can flag down a taxi for the patient, or the patient can book an uber or taxi in advance for pick up, the Safety Escort can then ride with the patient home. Upon arrival at the patient’s residence, the escort will help the client out of the vehicle, and then walk the patient to their front door, and ask if she/he is ok to care for themselves and does not require additional services, before departing.
3. If the patient wants to be driven to the doctor’s office, in the patients car, or our car, or only picked up from the doctor’s office in our car.
Long Island, and Westchester patients. We only offer option #3, due to lack of public transportation options for the escorts.
A. If patient wants to use his/her vehicle – We must pick the patient up at the patient’s home and transport the patient in the patient’s car to and from the doctor’s office. (3 hour minimum booking)
B. We can pick the patient up at the patient’s home in our company vehicle and transport the patient to and from the doctor’s office, (3 hour minimum booking) or
C. We can meet the patient at the doctor’s office and transport the patient home in our company vehicle.
